About

Emma Alexandra is a contemporary representational artist from New Zealand.

She combines elements of realism with her own impressions, ideas and imagination.  Working in a variety of mediums, including oil paint and charcoal, she specialises in portraiture, landscape and figurative works.  Inspired by people, travel and nature, she especially loves painting individuals, seeking to capture depth, emotion and what makes them unique.

She began her studies at Elam in New Zealand, and has since studied in Florence, Italy. She lived in Italy, learning to paint from her aunt who was a portrait artist.
